There are many orthodontic techniques in which you can straighten your teeth to give you a smile you can confidently show off. Dr. Sean Hanson and his staff at Oregon Smile Care Center strongly believe that one of the best ways to do this is through Invisalign clear braces. You and your family can benefit greatly from having an Invisalign treatment because it can straighten your teeth without the bulky metal brackets and wires. You won’t regret choosing to straighten your teeth using clear braces!
Why Choose Invisalign Over Traditional Metal Braces
Invisalign is a well-known alternative to traditional metal braces, which have been around for decades. Invisalign has picked up steam in the orthodontic community because it is a more convenient way to straighten your teeth. Invisalign usually takes less time to straighten your teeth compared to traditional metal braces and at nearly the same cost! Investing in clear braces is ultimately an investment in your future and the confidence you’ll have with a beautifully straight smile.
Invisalign is great for people of many ages, but it is perfect for adults who want to have their teeth straightened but don’t want to be embarrassed by metal brackets and wires. Anyone young or old who is fitted with clear braces will be pleased with their smile both during treatment and after their treatment is complete.
If you’re the type of person who doesn’t want your Invisalign treatment to take over a year, we offer AcceleDent, a device that uses pulsing movements to cut your treatment time in half. Your smile can be straightened quicker, which makes for accelerated confidence in half the time.
Being Fitted With Your Invisalign Clear Braces
The reason why I came in here was there was a baby tooth that I still had that was finally crumbling under the adult teeth, and there was a filling in there that started to just break apart. I came in to see him. That kind of kicked off a series of events where essentially he pulled that tooth, and then that's where he laid out the options where I could have an implant done into that tooth, or I could bridge it. The one thing that we decided on was the Invisalign because my teeth were naturally crooked already. I get it from my dad. I blame my dad for them. Because we were creating a space to pull my teeth apart, he said that the space naturally will somewhat close and then later after if there's still a space, depending on how I felt, we could still look at an option to replace or implant or do another to fill that gap if I wanted to.
The nice thing was we did Invisaligns which really straightened out my teeth, which really gave me more confidence with my teeth just because they were crooked. I was a little self conscious about it. Now, I don't even really think about it. A lot of times I'm just ... It's easier to floss because it's spread out and it's got the easier to get the floss back in there.
Maybe the greatest advantage to Invisalign is that the aligners are removable. This makes for a much more enjoyable experience when you’re eating meals as well as a much simpler teeth cleaning process after you are finished eating. However, it is imperative that you wear your aligners for at least 22 hours a day to ensure that your teeth are straightening properly.
Before And After Invisalign
You’ll be astounded when you compare photos from before your treatment and photos from after your treatment! You’ll be sporting a new, confident, straight smile that will boost your confidence and appearance. At Oregon Smile Care Center, we do a lot of Invisalign cases because once our patients know the benefits that Invisalign has, it’s hard for them to deny the treatment.
Invisalign To Prevent Gum Recession
If somebody has receded gums there's usually an issue with their bite or they're bushing too hard. Those are usually two reasons why. We got to again find the reason that the gums are receding. Is it periodontal disease? Is it hard brushing? Is it your bite? Once we figure that out, we can decide. If it's your bite, obviously we're going to talk about a misaligned. If you're brushing too hard, well, we'll talk about Sonic Care toothbrush or something that no matter how hard you push, gives it the exact same pressure across whether you lightly set it there or you push as hard as you can. It doesn't matter. That toothbrush really helps with receding gums. If it's periodontal treatment, obviously then we're going to look at the deeper cleaning and maybe even seeing a gum specialist to graft in some gum tissue.
