Dr. Angel Cardenas, DMD

Dr. Angel Cardenas is excited to be back in the Salem area to serve his community and continue building long-term relationships with his patients. After receiving his bachelor’s degree in Biology from the University of Portland, he went on to earn his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Midwestern University College of Dental Medicine in Illinois.

Dr. Cardenas’ love for dentistry stems from his desire to combine art, engineering, and problem-solving to help his patients achieve the smile they envision. He believes dentistry is about more than treating teeth—it’s about building trust, understanding each patient’s individual needs, and helping them feel comfortable and confident in their care.

Dr. Cardenas understands the importance of embracing the diversity of each patient and creating an environment where everyone feels welcomed, heard, and cared for. He is passionate about providing high-quality, personalized dental care and is grateful for the opportunity to give back to the community that helped shape him into who he is today.

Outside of the office, Dr. Cardenas enjoys spending time with his wife, Xitlalitl (Lali), and their two boys, Guillermo and Agustin. He enjoys staying active through running at Minto Brown Park, lifting weights, and golfing.
