Visiting your dentist every six months to have your teeth cleaned is imperative to keeping your oral health at an optimal level. One thing is for sure: you could never clean your teeth as well as your dentist can clean them. We own the dental tools necessary to clean your teeth and the proper training to clean them in the comfort of our beautiful office. We can see every nook and cranny of your mouth, and that gives us an edge when cleaning your teeth that you just aren’t capable of possessing. Dr. Hanson and his staff at Oregon Smile Care center will provide you with a thorough cleaning that will leave you with a clean, confident smile that you’ll be proud to have!
Thorough Exams At Oregon Smile Care Center
Dr. Hanson will accommodate you with a dental exam that can be done the same day as your cleaning. In just an hour and a half, you’ll be in and out with a superior teeth cleaning and exam! A dental examination consists of a full set of X-rays with our state-of-the-art digital X-ray machine and Spectra pictures. If a patient shows signs of gum disease, we will do a full set of periodontal readings and go over what needs to happen to reverse periodontal disease. We do all of these things during your dental exam as a preventative measure to ensure no large problems are looming in your mouth.
Spectra Tooth Decay Picture System
One of our most technologically advanced devices is the Spectra Caries Detection Aid. Our Spectra picture system is a small hand-held camera that detects tooth decay with a fluorescent light. When the light is shined on a tooth, it makes the trouble spots on the teeth stand out so we can catch any problems before they get too serious. Spectra is an advanced dental care software system that can be the difference between having tooth decay and a healthy mouth.
A Periodontal Reading For Excellent Oral Health
At Oregon Smile Care Center, we care about your oral health, and that is why we offer full-mouth gum disease readings to ensure you avoid debilitating gum disease. We will evaluate your mouth fully and determine what needs to be done to avoid gum disease. If you let gum disease run rampant in your mouth, it can lead to the loss of teeth, which can lead to greater dental problems. If you are showing signs of gum disease, we will create a plan of action together to reverse the disease and return your mouth back to having a clean bill of health.
