The main reason that most people end up coming and staying here is because of the staff. They go above and beyond to make you feel comfortable to make you feel welcomed and cared about here. If you come here and you're comfortable and you enjoy the people that are working on you, essentially, and giving you the treatment that you're here for, then it makes it a lot easier.
What makes me happy is I feel like a patient, but I also feel like a friend. You come in here and you known everybody and it makes it feel special.
It's kind of like that explaining kind of building my confidence just reassuring me is something that I feel every time that I'm here.
When I was 12, I had lost a baby tooth in the front. I had already gone through a round of braces before that, and the adult tooth never came in, and Dr. Hanson said, "No, all we need to do is do some Invisalign for about a year to adjust your alignment. "I cannot tell you how many selfies I took with a big smile after the whole process was completed.
Meeting Dr. Hansen through the network group and getting to know him personally and the staff that the has, I...the best opportunity.
I'm Dr. Sean Hanson, and my staff and I are looking forward to meeting you.
Straightening Your Teeth With Invisalign Clear Braces
Invisalign is probably the coolest thing that we do in the office. There really isn't a patient that we've seen, say for maybe two, that can't have Invisalign. People who are really interested in it have looked into it. Somebody along the way told them, "Oh, you're not a candidate. You can't have them. Invisalign won't work for you." Nowadays, we're on the sixth generation, I think, of Invisalign. We've done just about anything you can do with orthodontics.
As far as candidacy, we've had a patient as young as nine. She's lost all her baby teeth early. The oldest patient we started on was 78. There's your age range, 9 to 78. It will fix a lot of things. If you don't like the way they look because they're crooked, that's great. We can straighten them out. If you're missing teeth and you don't want to go through the expense or the surgery of an implant, we can pull the teeth together.
If you have periodontal bone loss or you have gum disease, a lot of times moving the teeth, once that disease has been treated will help bring a little of the bone back. As you move the teeth through the bone, you actually stimulate bone growth a little bit. You can fix that problem in a sense that maybe it's the crowding that was making it difficult for you to keep your teeth clean. Once the teeth are straighter, they'll be easier to clean for you. They'll be easier to clean for us. Most patients, 90-95% of patients, once they're done, they come back and say, "Man, flossing's easy now. I don't mind flossing now." Or, "I'm able to get everything off. My breath isn't as bad." We hear it all after Invisalign.
The other great thing that it does is it helps with your jaw joint. If you're somebody who's had jaw pain or problem, maybe you have some clicking or popping, your jaw gets tired easily, it could be due to the way you're teeth are sitting in your mouth. If they're leaned over towards your tongue, if you're not sitting in the ideal position for your jaw, a lot of times you'll have some jaw issues. The Invisalign will help correct some of that.
We had a lady just the other day who had been having jaw pains and headaches pretty much her whole life and her teeth where really folded over to where she didn't have a lot of room down by her tongue. Her bite was collapsed a little bit. Because the aligners sit on top of the tooth and there's about a millimeter and a half of thickness of aligner on top and bottom, it immediately put her in a two millimeter difference as far as where her rest position was. She came back and told me after four weeks of wearing them, she didn't have headaches any more, she didn't have any jaw pain. Her teeth where ... She's not done.
It's one of those things where we've done 10 just for jaw joint issues. All 10 of them had said, "Within a few weeks, my jaw felt rested. It felt better. I didn't have the clicking or popping. I didn't have pain anymore." There's this large variety of things that Invisalign can help with.
We don’t just fit you with Invisalign because we thoroughly enjoy this straightening method; we fit you with them because of the numerous advantages they have over traditional metal braces. Invisalign clear braces aren’t just a way to straighten your teeth that people won’t notice easily, but they are also removable, which makes for more enjoyable meals and makes it much easier to fully clean your teeth. You can also say goodbye to the days of multiple visits to the orthodontist’s office to have your wires tightened or brackets repaired. Overall, Invisalign clear braces are just a more convenient way to straighten your teeth, and that is why our patients love them at Oregon Smile Care Center.
